Performed semi-restoration on my 18 years old NARDI Classic.
I am using this same steering wheel on many cars that color was starting to fading.
"Some-Q" leather paint (approx. $20.00 a can!) made it look good as new.

Is it just that lighting or does your interior really look that nice? :)

As usual, thank you for your kind comments.
It has to be the lighting .....but, yes, I am trying to keep my interior simple and clean as possible-!

Hazard & Defogger switch relocation for better access. (They were hidden behind the monitor)
Now, I do not have to guess the switch anymore. :P
I hardly used these switches when I reside in SoCal but, now I am using both of them almost everyday here in Tokyo. I also add 12V (3) sockets as well.

Here we go again...

(1) Enjoy ice cold "coke-zero"...but, don't twist off the cap. Create a small hole on the bottom of the can and put the contents into a glass.
Make sure you do this at kitchen sink!! ...if you understand what I mean...or out side!

(2) Locate Nissan Lug Nut (M12xP1.25) ...Yes, same as Toyota Shifter Size & Pitch.

(3) Wash the can & let it dry, once it is dry, drill approx. 22mm - 25mm small hole by hole saw on the bottom of the can.

(4) Go to the nearest park and fill the can with sand...make sure there are no kids around you...and top it off with silicone...let it sit for couple of days.

(5) Grab JB WELD and secure the Lug Nut on the bottom CENTER...let it dry again...be patient...

(6) ....sit back and admire your work....

It took me a while to locate JB WELD equivalent product here in Japan but, finally I did.
Once it is completely dry, I can sand and paint as well. This shift knob weight is about 425g that is close to 0.5 lbs...

Happy Holidays and Merry Motoring everyone!

Forecast is saying that we might not have any snow in Tokyo this season...but, you never know...right?
Since I did not want to do this at night or in the rain just like for the past couple seasons, I decided to do this today during a daytime.

Checking air pressure.

WINTER VERSION

So that's how people make shifters with bottles, cans, and such. Nice to know.

Thank you.

Let me revise # (4) to below.

Fill the empty can with concrete cement approx. 90%, once they are dried, place the lug nut (it won't sink since cement is rock hard) then, top it off with 2nd stage of concrete cement and let it sit for another 2-3 days.

With above method, final product is now over 650g and lug nut will NEVER come off even at hardest shift.

After all this time, I just noticed that the shifter boot is missing.

As you may noticed, I was switching back and forth between this shifter plate and boot.
...but, since I hot glued this plate on the console at last switch, I am not able to go back to the boot anymore... :P
I had similar set up on my past AE's as well that I like this racing look w/o shift boot.

I've been doing this same project for over & over...this time, all wires are going through where OEM clock used to be.

On the way to my work....first nice turn...

...today, I was cleaning some wires in my engine bay and discovered that one of my V belt was ready to snap anytime.
Next week, Japan is about to enter LONG holidays that most places will be close for business.
I know replacing belts are not that difficult task but, without any place to purchase, I have no choice but, taking my car to the dealer...

Acquired used Rear Pillar Bar.
Repainting the bracket and polishing a bar will make it look brand new.
I was doubting about this product that I thought it was just for a "racing look"...BUT, it actually reduced a noise from rear hatch area.
