Hey guys, been a long time member but havent had anything in a while that really fit this forum for a build thread. until now. woohoo
Got 2 builds going on cuz I like to make everything difficult for myself.
1st the Grocery Getter - 1987 Toyota Tercel Wagon 4wd
This car start out life actually from a fwd tercel wagon that I acquired with a fwd 4age swap done by another member. At the time I got the car I was under the impression a rwd conversion would be pretty easy until I did some research. This lead me to look for a project tercel to swap and convert to rwd. I found the prefect candidate in a 87 4wd tercel in Mcminnville with a jdm 3ac-scv swap but the owner had also swapped in a 83 trans/transfer case while leaving the 87 rear end on causing the trans to grenade. The plan would be to pull the 3ac from the 4wd tercel and put it in the fwd tercel and then convert the 4wd tercel to rwd with the 4age.
Porject Fleet:
Left to Right: Green 86 4age Tercel (Turdcel - 4age swapped) - AllTrac Camry (Eventually will be swapped) - White 87 4wd Tercel
3ac in 4wd wagon
4age in FWD wagon
2nd the Weekend Warrior - 1984 Toyota Corolla DX
My friend bought this car as running swap to put into his car and sold me the shell.
The plan is to make a dedicated track car out of it, still debating on eventual motor, I want something that is going to make 300+ hp while keeping it 4cyl toyota. options pretty much come down to 3sgte, 3rz, or a 2ar, but motor is not important right now as there is a lot of other work to be done to prep the car for track use.
Friends hatch that we swapped the motor into.
