Automatic thread subscription?

Automatic thread subscription?
Why can't I figure out how to set up the new forum to subscribe to a thread automatically when I post in it?

on the top tool bar thing (under the club4ag banner uptop), look for [User Control Panel] then look to the right of it where it says [View your posts], and click it.

But it doesn't tell me if a thread has been posted in since I last posted in it.
Most forums have a selection where you subscribe to threads you have posted in and then when you go to user CP it tells you if there are any new posts in those threads. I am sure this forum has the same capability I just can't find it. There is the subscriptions box in the user CP but it just says I am not subscribed to any threads.
