you could probably spend a tad bit more and get an imported silver top with at least a warranty or somewhat known mileage. Although if you have the money and room, buy it and sell the shell, keep the engine and profit.

That's my thoughts. And I'd rebuild the engine no matter what so I feel like it's pointless to spend the $$$ on a "nicer" ST. Even though JDM engines can have 60k they can still be crap..

it's pointless to yank out and rebuild any perfectly good running motor also, imo
at least u can hear the motor run.... at length plus thru an exhaust. Can't do that at the importers
total up what a complete 20V costs, and make sure u can live with driving a 20V long term

I second this statement. You'd be paying roughly the same price anyways if you were to snag a motor alone. At least with this car you know its running and driving.

You can find them pretty often and junkyards so they shouldn't be that hard to come by.

It hasn't been starting, he thought it was the disty but I told him to look at other things before blowing $$ on 20v disty..

He claims that he figured out the igniter isn't getting the signal (pulse). He didn't know how to check the igniter so I told him..

Probably won't buy it but he is at 800... could probably snag for like 5-600...
