Has any one turned one out yet? it seems like a perfect part to 3D print, my brother just got one and I'm curious to see if someone else may have useful info for me if I were to have him try it.
AE86 cupholder 3D print?
Re: AE86 cupholder 3D print?
I wasn't aware that ae86 ever came w. a cupholder. lol Can someone verify?
Re: AE86 cupholder 3D print?
it did come with a cup holder, which was located in the storage compartment of your center console arm rest. it folded up and down so that you can store stuff, or put a drink there. but due to the design, it always broke, so you rarely see a working one now a days .

a titanium one would be cool and durable.

That seems pretty cool, I wonder how that would compare to a CNC piece.
Re: AE86 cupholder 3D print?
haha ya i figured it would be kinda good since they tend to break alot, to 3d print it would probably be less than a buck in materials. Unless of course unless you get a titanium one made by spaceX, that might be more. anyone have an extra one they wanna sell me on the cheap or free , I'll just pay the shipping... If I had one then I could just give it to my bro to scan.

I say just 3D design an entirely new center console from front to back! The old AE86 one isn't too spiffy anyway to begin with. Make one with more ideas built in and accommodations like cigar sockets increased and such. Imagine custom stuff you can do!
