You will need these parts to make the four link. I ordered them from speedway motors and mccaster-carr. I bought all of the washers and nuts from them even though they cost a little more so if you can find them for less go for it.

here is the pic when i made mine. of coarse these where made with the 14 inch long sleeves and after adjusting my pinion angle i found out that the 15 inch sleeves are the correct size to use.

anyone of you dudes who are making these ever thought about using bushed ends on one side? Thought it would be more popular but I dont see many dudes doing it.

I used bushed ends on one side. i got a set of bushed ends from speedwaymotors.com.


I had to use 5 washers to get a tight fit.

also i forgot to mention the threads are a little different. the sleeves are 5/8 x 16 and the bushed ends are 5/8 x 18. they will thread in but they are tight

Yeah I'll keep that in mind, making a call to them tomarrow for a set of 4..

so i was adding everything to my cart to purchase all the above items and i noticed the washers are in packs of 100???? how man do i need. and even then why 2 packs. 200 washers seems like overkill lol

Bulk! more than what's needed..I'd just get these down at any local hardware place. i remembered using 4-6 washers (2-3 for ea side depending) per heim joint for my diy links. Hope this helps

I had a lot of slop and play from this setup. If someone could find metric rod ends and sleeves or get metric conversion insterts for the rod end then that would clear up any clank clank going on under accel or decel. I eneded up just tossing these and buyin a set from t3 . Which use fk rod ends

on my set up i used 4 washers for the heim side and 3 for the bushed side. its not the best pic but you get the point. i also used some heim spacers to eliminate the use of so many washers

Thanks for the replies. Im going to search around a little more to see if I can find a better solution so I wont have to use so many washers. I will post it if I find anything

The option for 7" is just past 24", towards the bottom of the drop down.

yes it will work and yes it can be used on the panhard bar as well. i am using these on my 4 link and have had them on for about 3 years now at least

I have been looking into this now for a bit, and I'm mostly concerned about the 12mm to 1/2" of around the bushing. Don't you want it to fit tighter? Also, if you are using a reducer sleeve anyways, why not just get the 1/2" joints to begin with and not need to reduce it? Or even just drill it out and get 1/2" bolts?

Anyone have dimensions for a lateral rod?
