WTB: Roll Cage TN or ship

Postby jpaint86 » Mon Jul 28, 2014 10:45 am

Hello! I am looking for a roll cage for my 86 hatch to make the uz swap a little safer. I really like safety devices 6/7 point bolt in, but haven’t been able to find one in the states. I feel so so about the safety 21 kit but I would consider the through dash one; might consider autopower as well but have heard mixed reviews on them. I have family that can pick up in east TN and a few other places or can figure shipping. I am leaning a little more towards a nice bolt in since I recently stripped and painted the whole inside of the car, but if all else fails I’ll just do a weld in and be careful/ redo whatever gets messed up. Let me know what you got! And feel free to give some input.
Thanks!

Best to buy a cage from chassis engineering out of Florida
Looking at $6-800 after shipping and you have to assemble it yourself
(Weld in )

Cool thanks I emailed them about one. Do you happen to be running one of their cages?

I bought one the same time Al Lagura did
I still have mine never used
The one Al bought ended up in the orange coupe he & T3 built and campaigned for FD back in the day

O nice! Cool thanks for the info we'll see what they say. If I go that route Ill just have to try to cover the floors and stuff to keep from having to re-spray the interior, next build cage will come first lol
