WTB: Ring and Pinion

Postby Doriftoboy » Wed Jun 14, 2017 7:35 pm

This might be a long shot but anyone out there have a ring and pinion for a 1986 Corolla GTS? I have been looking around local Junk shops and no luck so now its time to broaden my search! My last resort is just changing my rear axle to a ford mustang 8.8 rear end if I really cannot find it.

Sorry for the late reply guys I visiting busy in Canada with family situations >_<.

Mad_86: I came across that website also awhile back and I don't know if the website is working I tried to call them but no one answered was trying to get some rear axle shafts from them. Ill give them another shot though. I do have a question though? which ratio is just the OEM ratio on an AE86 Kouki model? They shop that I took my 3rd member in they told me I had a 4.11 but can I go change the ratio, and if I do will I need different axles and diff?

Anonymous_gangster: If I can't contact this website ill contact you and see if I can snag yours ^_^.

one more thing Ill be driving to southern California this weekend. Does anyone have any places, shops, juckshops, anything, to lead me to finding one. I just really want to get her back on the road again miss driving my ae86 so much.....

You won't need to change your axles. The ring and pinion will be the same size(6.7") but different ratio. All of the rwd Celicas have the same size. They are hard to find too with a good ratio.
