I just picked up a 4Runner and no longer need my little '81 pickup. Runs good, just passed smog (CA vehicle), tagged (good through January, 2018), clean title. Couple of boxes of parts as well, some new, urethane bushings and ball joints, discs and pads. Some used, spare carb, power steering parts. not perfect, but not bad. $2.5k Engine and trans came out of an '83 Celica. Trans has a short throw shifter. Message for pics, having issues posting them here. I can shoot images with my phone.

Just wanted to say, if it's a 22RE, those things are damn near bulletproof. If idiots here in Florida can keep them running, you should be golden for 2,3,400k.

22R carby. I've seen these go a million miles. My '81 Celica had 600k+ before the cancer took it. Yeah, the 'R' family engines are damn near bulletproof. The engine and trans in this truck came from an '83 Celica.

Well, even better then. Should be parts galore!

I have a 96, which I just personally like better. But the 80s toyota is best.
