Took me a while to mock up and get the correct measurements...i wasnt in a rush since my engine is not finished yet...but since im still waiting I figured i would get under there and finally get it sorted.

Nice product! I have a few questions.

What's the benefit of the aluminum yoked version? I'm assuming it's lighter weight and better corrosion resistance?

How much lighter is the 2.75" shaft with the aluminum yokes vs the steel ones.

Are they stronger/weaker than steel?

Are the steel versions painted or powder coated? Any finish to the aluminum yokes or are they bare unfinished?

At what RPM do the 2.75" carbon shafts become unstable?

Thanks,

Carthik

Do you have to run an adjustable 4-link with the carbon shaft? I'd like a carbon shaft, but keep OEM 4-link with ES bushings.

My car is only lowered about 2".

Aluminum version only comes in 3inch diameter, the purpose is to provide a bigger stronger shaft but keeping the weight the same as the 2.75 diameter shaft...finished is just the normal aluminum and rated at supporting 800hp . Steel has a black finish to them and can support 14500 rpm.

Ritz the shaft will fit but i cant predict what type of effect it would have on your car in regards to vibration due to in correct pinion angle...i wouldnt suggest it could be all that bad being off some but i do recomend adjustable 4 link .

Thanks for clearing up my questions. My car won't be making anywhere close to 800 HP . I'll be picking one of these up in the near future.

Cheers,

Carthik

I found the time to get mine in the car. Angles are obviously not yet set, will be shimming the transmission up a bit, and then adjusting the four links on the other end.

Bump for an awesome product!

How much do these driveshafts weigh? I just searched through the thread and couldn't find an answer, I could have skipped over it accidentally. Just curious what the reduction in rotational mass will be. Stock is ~22lbs.
