FS Overclocked ECU

Postby sirdeuce » Wed Jun 22, 2016 6:06 pm

I have 2 ECUs that the crystal has been changed. Moves the T-vis actuation to 5500rpm and the rev limit to 8500+rpm. I used this for a lot of auto-X events. Nice for those sections that it's just too short to upshift but long enough to bounce the limiter. Works with USDM AFM models with T-vis. I've used this in an '86 AE86, an '87 AE82 and an '87 AW11. All had mild mods, intake, exhaust Mild cams mid (TRD 246* and WEB Cams 294 grinds). Not going to use them. $125 ea. shipped to U.S.

T-vis opens approx. 4800rpm
Fuel cut approx. 8800rpm

Hello...I have a 1986 aw11 stock engine using it for autox....are both ECU the same? Uses oem sensors? Plug in and go, or is there anything else needed? Did you evaluate afrs with these? I am very interested...can send PayPal if possible.

AFRs were ok, on a stock engine, if necessary adjusting the AFM or fuel pressure could help. Biggest mods were HKS 264/8.35 cams, 10.5 comp with cleaned up ports. Minor ignition timing and high comp 240cc injectors were adequate to keep it running right. I ran my bone stock AE82, 40mm crank for a season with one of these 'til the engine died. The engine had a little over 280k on it. It was sweet for the auto-X, 85mph in 2nd gear, never had to shift to 3rd.
One shot, one kill.

I am not allowed to change cams or compression in sts. I was looking into building a micro squirt in the OEM case but after seeing this, I am interested. I certainly don't want to kill this engine but wondering if this ECU would be safe to run for me and if there would be a lower grunt benefit with a delayed opening of tvis...I like the raised rev limit but has to be on OEM valve train. Your experience is needed and appreciate your help!
