4AGZE conversion

Postby Alex170984 » Mon Apr 24, 2017 4:12 am

hi all,

attempted my 4AGZE conversion into my AW11 over the weekend. Got it all in, except I have no injector pulse. I have all the correct electricals i.e. ECU etc. I have fuel in my rail and pressure, but the injectors will not fire.

My car is now at my mates house 50 miles away so I cannot physically check anything and this is more for pointers than anything to give him ideas of what to look for. my mate is a competent mechanic but its not fair for him to do all the research himself to find out what could be causing the issue.

It's an AFM 4AGZE engine if that helps.

Also, where does the AC idle valve reside in the engine bay? We couldn't find a connector for it on the loom...I have removed my Air con compressor as i do not have the correct heater control instruments inside the car, so no need for this, but i assume the idle valve and hoses still need to be connected?

Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance

Alex

My first guess would be the ground wires for the ECU. Typically brown wires with an eye connection to the engine. Dave W

Does anyone know if the dizzy is different in a 4AGZE to a 4AGE?

Yes they are different. The trigger wheel tooth count is not the same, GZE has more teeth.

the injectors are now firing as there was a loose pin on the ecu plug.

so i've got spark and fuel, but it won't fully turn on. It just cranks and cranks.

timing was checked and was all fine. no idea now

It's possible that you are not getting an rpm signal to your ECU. Are you running an aftermarket ECU? Also, double check the dizzy wiring.
