Hey i wanted to change my spark plugs and noticed one of them was covered in oil .. The one that's all the way on top. 1st one going down. 4AGE 16v btw. So i bought a valve cover gasket kit with grommets.

How do i replace the grommets?
The valve cover seems to separate and come off as two pieces.. how do i get to the grommet so i can replace them? Since that is most likely why the spark plug is covered in oil?

the grommets that the valve cover kit comes with go on top of the valve covers under the nuts you unscrewed to take the covers off. Where was the oil on the spark plugs?

It's on the bottom. drippy with oil

Does your engine have oil squirters for the piston rings? Also, when you removed the center cover between the valve covers did you see any oil sitting around?
