Smallport Cam Cover Sticker...

Postby jondee86 » Sat Dec 03, 2016 1:34 am

Just noticed this sticker in one of my pics. It's on one of the cam covers on my
AE92 4AGE JDM smallport engine...

I'm pretty sure I can guess what it is all about, but it would be nice if someone
could check the Japanese writing and post up a translation, rough or otherwise :)

Ahhhh.... but why two methods ? And are they standard bolts tightened using the
torque-angle method, or are they torque to yield ? And why use an open-ended spanner ?

First one "shirinda heddo boruto", cylinder head bolts. Second one "konekutenngu roddo natto", connecting rod nut.
The other stuff would take me a while to translate since I don't know kanji, but I think this explains enough.

Thanks. Wasn't really expecting the rod bolt specs to be there. Like, hints for
routine maintenance... change the oil and filter, fit a new alternator belt and
check the rod bolts are torqued to spec :-P Pick the odd one out ?
