yes.... Toda springs should be enough to deal with the added boost pressure (now 14#s, before 8#s)

The head is assembled, I'm waiting on new valve shims...

Working on some of the logistics of getting this overseas....

build a cradle.... wood glue and screws...

Image

and fitting said cradle into engine shipping case.... the 2x6s are screwed to the sheet of OSB, the blue ratchet straps will hold the engine to the cradle, and the box

more to come.... :D

Now comes the mating of the block and head. As requested I'm using ARP hardware

Studs set in the block.... Note upper right stud is just a tiny bit shorter

head is placed on the block

3 passes to 60#s.... after they are set to spec, 9 look a lot like this....

and one, the stud exposure is a bit less

more to come...... :D

I just re-read this thread. Why did you put exhaust manifold gaskets on the exhaust side, I didn't see exhaust manifold gaskets on your other porting pics. I assume you matched the ports to the gasket in this case since these are not-so-mild cams and there will be more power, am I right?

The exhaust gasket used is a new piece available in the past year - viewtopic.php?t=18129

In this engines case... yes the port outlet was pushed to close to the edge... making this the largest exhaust port I've made....

Look at that beautiful power curve. Only a supercharged 4age can have that. It's rising so aggressively right from the bottom! This must be a blast to drive. Amazing build right from start to finish. No wonder the SC AW11 was the fastest car in its time to 30mph or something. Correct me on this if I'm wrong.
