So I know I already got into this on another thread, but I have run into a problem. I have done the 16v oil pump, crank sprocket and tensioner, with spring and pin, except now that I try to put my silvertop timing belt on, it's way too loose to tighten down. Everywhere i've looked has said that is the belt to use, but it straight up doesn't seem to be working. Anyone know what is up? Also what bolt is used for the tensioner? The original hydralic tensioner bolt wont work.
Thanks,
Alec

Re: 20v to 16v timing belt conversion
All that conversion stuff is inaccurate ive done both setups with the blacktop timing belt...silvertop oil pump and tensioner no spring, blacktop lower belt sprocket, blacktop timing belt and blacktop cam pullies...it fits with the tensioner all the way to the extreme left...u dont need the spring because the tensioner cant loosen at all...just need some muscle to make it work...whatever belt u use make sure u use the same belt pulley top and bottom
