I have a 20v BT w/ C56 transmission. It just became a PITA to shift. I checked fluids and gears but misses shift in 2nd. Before it was
3rd and the gear would grind. Could this be the bearing or is/are the synchro's gone to heaven? Also let me know who repairs manual trans
in south FLA. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP GUYS I APPRECIATE YOUR TIME.

Syncros are dead, they can only be had from the motherland, not a stateside part.

Thanks crwnvic. I was wondering if there is any way there is a manual to repair? I may try getting some dog gears if possible.
Also how much for a trans box or can i put my C50 trans on from 4AFE?

Re: c56 transmission miss shift need help
C50 would BLOW, it's probably got like a 3.7X final drive. If the starter's on the same side, it'll work fine, but the stock 20V manifold isn't compatible with exhaust side starters. Rebuild procedure is the same as for C50/52 and I believe you can look up the part numbers on toyodiy.com. Some vendors are able to get stuff from the motherland, so it's not hopeless by any means. Just a little more expensive.

Check this guy's site out. From Finland, so you know it'll be expensive to begin with:
