Clutch selection help

Postby Noisy 4age » Sun Sep 03, 2017 9:41 pm

Hi Guys,

I have an Australian AE93 SX Seca with 4age and am looking to get a lightweight 200mm flywheel and clutch for it (they come with 212mm).

Xtreme list my car and the ae86 as having the same gearbox shafts. 21 spline, 23.8mm OD. All 4age flywheels are swappable so the 200mm kit should fit right?

Can anyone confirm that they actually are the same and the 200mm and 212mm clutches can be interchanged and it will fit on my box?

What about throwout bearings?

Thanks fellas,
Alex.

You should be able to use either flywheel, but 200 clutch with 200 flywheel, 212 clutch with 212 flywheel. Can't interchange 212 clutch with 200 flywheel, or vice versa. Any reason why you want to go with 200 flywheel? Outer diameter is the same. I went to blacktop flywheel, which is 212 and then switched to Exedy hypersingle which is application listed as last gen Celica.

Well, since you're from Australia I would look up this site as they for the most part has gone through your dilemma.
