But I bought a 100 ohm rheostat because of using LEDs. You may not need one rated that low for standard filament bulbs. I don't know what resistance would work for those.

Thanks for the suggestion. I wanted to have and OEM so the dash would look right, but I could leave the original as a placeholder and wire in a new one somewhere else.
