Hi everybody,
I about to do a swapp into my 80' corolla ( te72 ) and there's something missing to match my rack and pinion to my steering column.
I get a xmember off from a 86' and a aw11 manual rack to fit in, but i want to keep the Te72 column ( originally p.s )
Do someone have ever do this ?
Or know what's missing to fit my setup ?
I'm stuck with female adapter near the firewall for a ~3/4'' shaft, and a universal joint to the rack who take a ~1/2'' shaft.
thanks.

Re: TE72 Rack n Pinion conversion
yes...
The original steering column is a bit different, yours is shorter by about a foot, AND is missing a bearing down near where it passes through the firewall. Your best bet (in the USA?) is to find a 1983 AE71 and snag the steering column.
