Hiya... I'm guessing that you are posting this .dat file as that is the file type that your PFC outputs for saving ? However, and guessing again, you probably need a PFC or the PFC software to load and view the file ? What would be a lot better for me, and all the other guys who don't have a PFC, wo...

Dude... you have got some kind of a timing problem. Maybe the cams are not timed to the crank pulley, or maybe the exhaust cam sprocket is on back to front, or maybe squirrels made a nest in your exhaust  I would guess that your exhaust valves are opening too soon and/or your ignition is way ...

Your graph didn't post. Torque is irrelevant until you assign it RPM then you have a measurable unit of work. In the US this unit of work is usually called HP. What you are looking for is more low end horsepower. We would have to look at your graph and compare it to some others to see if it looks h...

Since I don't know how much of the original wiring you have, I can only comment in general terms. This is how it happens with the factory ECU... Turning the keyswitch ON will supply power directly to the injectors, ignition coil and igniter. It will also put 12V on the EFI Main Relay coil. When the ...

Because sometimes pictures are worth a lot of words :) http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae328/jondee1/ae86frontsus01_zps6d14115f.jpg The standard OEM cartridge length is around 400mm, and if we use the KONI SW20 front insert as an example, the cartridge length is around 340mm. Re: a/c question

ToyoDIY.com shows slightly different part numbers between A/C components for the SR5 and GTS of the same year. Seeing that they are essentially the same chassis and engine block, I would think that most parts would interchange. But you will need to try it for yourself. You might even find that it is...

Actually for the price I posted for the Bassetts, that is their DOT approved wheel. My bad... I didn't pick that up as I only took a quick look at their website. Main thing is to use a DOT approved wheel, and you shouldn't have any problems with the Law or with your insurance company. Cheers... jon...

1. Bassetts, Barts and Diamond all make wheels for racing. But Diamond are the only one who make DOT approved wheels for street use. That is why you see them on the street :) 2. The ride is no different than with a cast alloy wheel. Most of the base model sedans that come out of Japan have steel whe...

I think you will have some problems. AFAIK the 4AC compressor runs a single v-belt while the 4AGE runs a 5-rib polywee belt. Chances are you will need the 4AGE cradle and the tensioner from a non-p/s car... if you can find one in the US :P You will probably save yourself a lot of grief if you can gr...

Re: Oil pressure

On all engines with the correct idle speed, the cold oil pressure will be higher than the warm oil pressure, due to the oil being "thicker" when it is cold. As the engine warms up the oil becomes "thinner" and the idle pressure will drop. Yes, when you rev the engine the oil pres...

You should not need any sealant if you use the correct acorn nuts. The seal/washer
things have rubber top and bottom and are designed to work with the acorn nuts.
They only leak on the thread with open type hex nuts.

Re: 4AGE Timing belt noise?

What likely happened in the spring on the tensioner broke, causing the bearing to release all the pressure. You can tighten the bolt down hard enough that you probably don't even need the spring, but it could have slipped. The spring is only there to help you when you are tensioning the belt. The t...

I recently disassembled some t3 front coilovers for ae86 (40mm shortened strut casings and kyb 765015 inserts). T3 used a 6mm spacer on the bottom and the insert is captive inside the strut tube. This set also had oem gland nuts with an oem style rubber seal inside which limits travel and spaces th...

Try putting a temporary 12V feed straight from the battery positive to the coil positive. That will take the key switch supply out of the equation. Just remember you will have power on the coil and igniter all the time, regardless of key position. And that black/orange wire runs thru the big squaris...

Re: Replaced speedo driven gear...speedo still not working

The speedo DrivE gear is steel versus the DriveN gear that is plastic... steel wins :) So you need to check: 1. Does the end of the spindle from the DriveN gear rotate if you jack up one rear wheel and spin it ? 2. Is the end (square from memory) of the cable that connects to the gearbox still there...
