Re: OST-024: It's been way too long
have you experimented with more angles and different angles? No... If I had my own valve/seat grinding equipment I'd consider different angles, but for now I trust Loynings.... i changed my valve grind angles and added a dual backcut, I gained an average of 16.8 cfm from .200" thru .600" ...

Re: Extending Stock Control Arms Discussion
I needed them to correct for swapping AE86 parts into my AE71.... I didn't need 25 to 30 mm, I needed 6 to 10mm With so minimal an amount change, I gambled (successfully) that I didn't have to extend them from between the balljoint, and the track rod... but I could just extend them from their overal...

although the newer "F" head is superior in overall design... http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/4357/gff1.jpg It still suffers from the same problem I encountered... the front oil drain interferes with the #1 exhaust port. It'll take a certain amount of effort to eliminate this problem... ...

Re: 4age FWD-->RWD Questions
So I recently pulled a motor from a AE92 GTS and I'm wanting to convert it to a RWD motor. But I had a few questions on this. 1) would I be able to use a T-50 tranny from a 3-TC motor? Or would I need a bell housing off a 4-AC/4-AG? 2) would motor mounts from a 3-TC block work on the 4-AG? Or could...

Dated July 2013.... To try and answer some of your questions. 1) The A/C is installed, and complete, but none functioning. I've not even tried to diagnose it. With that said, put some freon in and see what happens. 2) I've owned the car for a little over 2 years now, so I do not know its entire hist...

Re: Questions on this ae92 4age
Well I was looking to get around 160-180hp. I would consider going higher in horsepower but I wouldn't want the reliability of the motor to go down to much. I would like to try and keep the internals of the motor as stock as possible(well the bottom end for now) I don't mind cams and maybe some hea...

So I bought a 89 toyota corolla ae92 just for the motor I'm pretty sure it is a smallport with a 3 rib block. would this be a good motor to invest some performance parts into? Thank you for reading and feel free to state your opinions! Welcome... hmmmm, smallport and 3 rib would not be stock. If it...

Get a better head gasket..... I don't believe the ARP studs will improve the durability of a cheap head gasket... jmho

Iv got a redtop small port 4age that i'm rebuilding and wont to run ITB's, just wondering whether be better to use blacktop or silvertop ITB's, what injectors would be best to run whether its worth lightening the fly wheel and what would be an ideal weight, i'm making some long 4 to 1 extractors an...

Re: LEEN J160 6 speed for rwd "A" powered cars.
Are there any plans to build a shifter setup for the RX8 transmission for those of us that wouldn't want to cut our tunnel or console? I'd also be interested if they made the gear lever kit for the RX-8 transmission. Without it, it would probably be too close to the hand brake lever. As of now ther...

I am doing a fuel economy build on my corolla... lightweight wheels, flywheel, pulleys, carbon fiber driveshaft, etc. It won't be done for about a year, but I'm shooting for 50+ mpg. Wheels make a huge difference in fuel economy. none of that makes as big a difference as a well built, properly tune...

Looks good! When you are using the burrette to cc the combustion chambers, how do you keep them the same volume? Not easy... BUT I typically do the following... 1) remove the material that promotes pre-ignition clear to the "joggles", 2) measure chambers once all are @ 90% complete, 3) kn...
