Re: "Kentucky AE86: A Levin Story"

Well fellas, I just opened my first can of worms. Good thing I decided to do this job during my winter break Lol. At this point I'm just bored in the garage with nothing else to do. I snapped a bolt on the upper water outlet when removing the waterpump. Easy out didn't work, blowtorch didn't work, s...

He says with a mint one-color Levin :) Two different kinds of charm homie! Its like, there's girls out there you would introduce to your parents, and then there's girls you wouldn't, which occasionally are more fun sometimes. For example that Noriyaro guy on Youtube: https://farm5.staticflickr.com/...

I vote no paint ;) Treat the rust spots on the chassis (if any) and then save the rest for go-fast parts :D :D

There's just something about a worn AE86 with its battlescars thats so sexy.

Do you like to fry your brain?? No but seriously, that is awesome. EE is hard enough, I can't imagine going around easy electives to take a rest with, and then, just, you know, signing up for a hard minor too :) It's actually kind of the opposite! All classes needed for a math minor are already inc...

I only have one exam left, and then I'm off until the second week of January so I'm going to do my little overhaul during winter break.

I don't think so. I feel like OP would have said they were magnesium if they were, and they would be even more expensive. You rarely see those for sale used since they're mainly used for race applications.

I just ask because I have Rota Slipstreams which I think are pretty damn sexy (for the DC2) and clock in around 12lbs per wheel. I highly doubt they are less than that. Dude Slipstreams look sexy on any Honda Lol. My personal favorite being black slipstreams on a red EG Hatch. Then there's the Muge...

Lol Watanabes Always been this much $$$$ they never went down nor up. Specially 15x9's or 15x10's thats like prime sizes for ae86. Every time you buy wats there is a long wait cause they are made to order + taxes + fees+ shipping so yes this is a good deal for these sizes. Gotta pay to play 1600 sh...

Re: AE86 Best Suspension Setup

IT3 is decent too. They fall somewhere in between custom and off the shelf in my mind. Its because they use off the shelf shocks, usually from other makes/models; although, theyre known to work on an ae86. If t3 could do their own bespoke ae86 model specific damping somehow it would be a huge plus....

Yeah they should be bolted onto the conical cup(s), and you have to get it from underneath the vehicle. Like, take a deep-well socket and go at it from the bottom. You should see the bolt(s) inside the bumpstop. Another side note: In the old FA review, where the dude was complaining about the perche...

Three bumpstops? There should only be two, one inside each spring, that are held in there by a bolt so you can just remove them completely.

Re: CloudStrife's AE88

Yepp! Just like that. Only thing is the FA adjustables are completely solid, like a cup, so you won't be able to use the bump stops. Idk what brand is pictured, but it looks like the center is hollowed out so the bump stops will fit. As far as the rubber, you will be able to use the bottom rubber(s)...
