Re: My 2024 4AGE 16v build

stock early cams are 204 degrees at .050, later cams are 198. Duration at a specific lift is a more accurate measure of a cam then "advertised duration" As far as the Cat cams are concerned, I can also get matched sets (same duration for both). Stock cams stop making power at 6600 rpm. The...

Not sure why I haven't seen this thread before......... If your budget is correct, "3500-4000 $ budget" you will be tough pressed to build much. A 7AG would add a bit more as well. I'd recommend you start listing the costs of all you have mentioned, add in rebuilding parts (bearings, pumps...

Re: 7AG build thread!

Another not a fan for a 7AG 20V, the intake valves are too small, compared to a fully ported big valve largeport head. also the TRD F/A ITBs don't require an adapter for use on a largeport head. I wouldn't want to see the air flow disruption with an adapter that goes from the long wide TRD ITB to th...

Not sure if you realize the outer holes are where the injectors fit. The only bolt holes are between the ports - either side. there might be a set out there.... I had a tough time finding a set 13 years ago........ You do have options. 1) get a custom made piston - Traum can make you a set for about $700 2) you could use Molnar Technologies "smaller" rod (40/20) - about $440 a set, and then use a set of smallport...

Why would you need dual springs with this engine? Plan on running some high RPM? Just curious. When I want to kick the revs up on a 22R I like using "beehive" springs. Instead of running the higher spring rates associated with dual springs the beehive springs keep lower sring rates while ...
