Re: 500+ hp on stock bluetop cams?

just as a what do you do.........

a 4AGE intake valve is 30.5mm in diameter and that calculates out to just a bit over 1 square inch of surface. So if you are running 45#s of boost, the spring should have a seat pressure of at least 77#s..... factory minimum spring rate(32) + add in the boost(45)

in 1st post... saw car on dyno... didn't see dyno results. Not sure I believe.......... but my believing isn't the point...... Biggest problem I see is the stock camshafts... remember our cams only lift to .295" (if using the "big" stock cams), that is rather small... and the valve li...

Love the throttle bodies... excuse me throttle body.... ;) But I have a few misgivings... in particular "optimised"... back in 1984?? Optimized FOR 1984 is different, but I'm not whole-y sure your audience understands the level of "crude" we are dealing with.........

Re: Small port 4age with big port cams - Timing & Injector questions

There is another injector option........

Late 80s Honda Accord, and Prelude 2.0i engines uses low ohm (peak and hold) 240cc injectors. These are the go to injector I recommend with mild builds.

thought this thread might like a age/mileage report...... I've had custom made springs (6/4) for nearly 20 (?) years now, but in their current configuration, it has been about 7+ years, and over 20,000 miles. Check with Loynings , they had to put 2 oversize buckets in my race engine at last refresh. Ya don't pitch a fully race prepped cyl head cause a couple buckets bores got sloppy. quite true.... In the OP's situation a replacement head may be less costly. Your head, has a great deal of time into it a...

LOVE the work MR.TOY you think it would be possible to use bag 16v springs with these heads? I know the 16v valves can be used with a little machine shop work. I'm currently doing something similar with my F head. problem here is spring bind. As was discussed in http://club4ag.com/forums/viewtopic....

My pistons are 18mm wrist pin. From my research I found out that the smallport have a 20mm wrist pin. So the wiseco pistons will not fit the smallport conrods then, right? If "My pistons" = Wiseco, then you are correct. You would need to find either, a whole different crank, and rods(with...

I decided to re-wire my entire car... I bought a 21 circuit harness from EZ wiring (http://www.ezwiring.com/store/viewitem.php?productid=2) and a 5 relay add-on block, and had Marc Panic re-wire the whole car.

Been working fine for 8 years, and 25k miles so far

Are pistons different in bigport/smallport? Or rather the bolt connecting it to the conrod? Heard something about that.. DEPENDS...... some bigports did use smaller(lighter) internals. You won't know what you have till you open it up.... I guess we could call the crankshaft in a bigport - Schröding...

.030" = .762" - Which is a bit of an odd size as you are just over 81.75mm. I would recommend you get a piston built for an 81.80mm bore, and have the new pistons fitted to each cylinder. If you need a custom piston, I can help with design, and supply. The TRD gasket should still be fine w...

Interesting. Is it advantageous to have the ex valves like that? What (or who) is this head for, if I may ask? I was thinking that it's a lot of work for an "economy" head, but a good experiment regardless. Like the early 4A-FE head you worked on for your CAT sedan. (I still hope you deci...
