Re: 4AGE - J160 and Silvia 6th Gearset Swap

I am in the process of getting all the parts I need to do this swap. this writeup is fantastic. I am personally not doing the swap myself because I currently do not have the space to do it in but my car is in a transmission shop that I trust will do a fine job.

Re: 86 GTS Exhaust Header

I have a battle garage header and I have had time to install it yet but it looks amazing. The quality in craftsmanship vs the OBX header is so much better in every way. It also comes fully ceramic coated out of the box. Only downside is no egr provision.

Re: Retro spec black dash

The FRP dash already has a vinyl covering like factory. I don't know if they put any foam underneath to deaden sound. I guess I could always put a little bit of dynamat underneath the dash.

Re: Retro spec black dash

I was considering getting one of these. odd question but does it feel solid? I was thinking that a fiberglass dash wouldn't absorb sound and sound hollow. I was considering the carbon dash but I do not want something so freaking shiny in my face while I drive.

do you have more pics of the rapfix II with flipper. I am looking for a works bell QR that has no noticeable scratches to go with a brand new steering wheel I have ordered.

Re: Group buy on high quality header feeler

I am in need of a header but money is tight. my car is bone stock with PS, AC, and cruise control. Is there a simple non wild header that you can make with quality collectors, and a flex section? something similar to Ebay headers with better quality? I could spare around 400 on a simple header desig...

WTB Kouki climate control panel

I am looking for a climate control unit that is in good working order. if the face plate is weathered or cracked I don't care, I will replace it with a new one anyway. I want the levers to work, mine the previous owner forced the heat lever when the heater valve was frozen and it broke the internal ...

LED Dome light

My dome light recently died on me and before I went out to buy a replacement bulb, I remembered an led upgrade I had used on previous 86s I have owned in the past. There is an old thread I dug up from the old club4ag site. this upgrade works amazingly well and for $10 well worth it. http://www.dx.co...

Re: DIY AE86 16V 4AGE A/C MOD FOR MANUAL RACK SETUP

with some adjustment you can get a belt the same size as the aw11 with the extra rib. you have to be willing to look up the belt size in a paper catalog at your local auto parts store. not hard just takes a few minutes. I really like this setup though, wish I had a lathe of my own to make a pulley.

Re: finally insurance that worked for me

I'm not sure how they figured out the value of the car. the lady in charge of the estimate had a friend that saw the pictures and hit the floor. I told them that they would be having a hard time finding an 86 as clean as mine in the entire USA let alone Utah. My best guess is they searched the web a...
