Re: New here, with a little problem.

Yeah this is really helps John, since there is no English Silvertop manual available I'm always looking for these types of procedures to keep in my back pocket.

Re: Weird Radiator Problem

I didn't know it was possible to change the fan-on temp setting in the stock ECU, thought it was hard wired. How do you set it?

Re: AE86 Silvertop Misfiring Issue

Evan sorry to hear that your mechanic would rather work on the same old crap over and over than learn something new. Anyway, it might be a long shot and too simple but open your ECU and check for leaking capacitors before you go any further.

Re: RWD water relocation kit opinions?

Thanks Mehmaddict, those pictures help a lot. I'm going to try to install the kit with the engine still in the car. We'll see if my fat fingers can fit in there.

Why such a small sump?

Just doing my "put it away for the season" oil change and I'm curious again why the 4age 20 valve has such a small oil sump. Around 3.2 liter depending on whether you have an oil cooler and the size oil filter you use. Does anyone know the engineering rational behind this. :?:

Yes that's the one I'm looking to install, just wondering if anyone here has used it, fit, quality, etc.

RWD water relocation kit opinions?

I'm thinking of purchasing the water connection relocation kit from Battle Garage for my Silvertop. I'm wondering if any of you have installed it and what your opinion might be. I see I may have to relocate the ISCV and I will also use their heater option. Right now my water lines run right past the...

Wish I knew the testing specs for you but I have also read that the 89 - 91 Camry one will work.

Re: Engine noise, please help, video link

Glad to hear you were still able to do your track day. Let us know what you hear about the dist relocation kit. I've been looking at that kit for some time. It would sure make for more room in the engine bay.

Re: Distributor Identification

Wow I love this relocation, looks more compact than the kits I've seen. I have to figure out how to do this on my Silvertop. Would love to see a picture when you have the cap and rotor off.

Could a newer Corolla ECU be made to work?

At the local Pick and Pull I saw a cheap 2001 Corolla ECU laying about and got to thinking. I wondered if it could be made to run my Silvertop? Probably more work than it would be worth. I guessed I would have to ditch the AFM for a MAF at bare minimum, tons of pin out changes too I guess. Just a th...

Domestic Distributor Cap found

I found that I can use a 92 Toyota Previa cap and rotor on the Silvertop. One of the three mounting holes does not line up so I had to tap a new one. The only other difference is that the coil wire comes out vertically. But they can be had for only $12.
