Weird bro,, are Tein plates red now?? lol. You can test it out now if you want, as long as your steering is all connected to the spindle. If you turn it left or right and the pillow ball nut (middle with sleeve) loosens/tightens and it has been torques all the way... THen you'll have an issue They ...

Taking my oem shock housings and converting them to a short stroke suspension. Hope you enjoy! https://youtu.be/gFGSgNFI-cQ Ps- forgot to mention in the video that the reason I didn't show me cutting the oem spring perches off is because I had to do it in a very dodgy way. Re: Short stroke shocks front and rears alternatives.

Hi Jondee86 I finally got it all situated. Seems that with the shorter 765015 shock inserts the oem gland nuts should work....however I had already ordered the t3 set, so I just used those. I also only needed one washer as a spacer. Here is a video I made of the whole process. Should I post this in ...

Why is my horn electrical plug on the right (pass) side?

Just wondering why on my electrical harness the horn plug is on the passenger side? When I bought the car it was in the midst of a gts conversion. So I'm not too familiar with this harness. Kind of annoying because I have to extend the wires back to the driver side as the horn is mounted there. Or I...

Re: Short stroke shocks front and rears alternatives.

When you get the T3 gland nuts be sure to do a test fit right away with an insert inside the strut tube and see if it will thread in far enough to get some good thread engagement. It's difficult to pick up on the pics of the nut, but it seems to have a tapered inside diameter... so difficult to gue...

Re: Short stroke shocks front and rears alternatives.

You will have to do some measurung and figuring to see if the rear inserts can be used... https://i.imgur.com/vqWcBgS.jpg When you look at the gland nuts that came with the inserts, and slide one down over the spear, you will see how the nut sits on the top of the cartridge. How much thread engages...

Re: Short stroke shocks front and rears alternatives.

Have you checked to make sure the new gland nuts have the same thread as the AE86 strut tubes ? I think I got some but the thread was wrong. If the thread is good, see how many turns it takes to get the nut all the way down without the insert in the strut. Then see how many turns you can get with t...

Re: Short stroke shocks front and rears alternatives.

If you can't exchange them, then you can probably use them if the gland nut threads on far enough. Are you using the OEM gland nut ? If you are then it will be sitting up high on the insert unless you have had the inside diameter turned out on a lathe. Like, the insert does not slip inside the OEM ...

Re: Rear brake caliper won't release....rearend upsizing lead to this? (Sorry long)

After your first test drive, do not be surprised if you need to get a brake bias valve, [pressure relief] to limit rear braking with the large size disc in the back. Dave W7. something like this perhaps?? http://www.ebay.com/itm/131499815345 You can tie this in after the oem prop valve to the rear ...
