Re: Car 1 - 86
So April of 2009 is when my homegurl told me about some of her people that she knew were hosting a drift event at the Orange Show Speedway. I didn't have enough money for the event, I still needed to buy tires and a helmet so I was S out of luck. She paid for my first event, and I'm forever thankful...

I probably should've done this when I first got my car or started going on this forum but oh well. This is my 1986 Corolla sr5 I purchased in December 2005. Picked up this 1986 cororra a few months after I got in a accident with my previous corolla that I was trying to put together back in mid 2005....

Re: Car 2
The plated nuts and bolts are a nice touch. Thank you! When I cleaned the nuts and bolts w/ my wire brush and Purple Power they came out really nice. I placed them in the engine bay and over a few weeks they start getting surface rust and I didnt like that at all, i thought about painting them but ...

Got a bit busy helping out a friend and things are taking a bit long but here is a quick update. My boi Jesus Magana w/ the white RX7 made it out to Just Drift Top Drift limited rd1 and that was time consuming in itself. Quick snap from AMDRIFT.COM. Car took a while to get sorted as it was having fu...

Still waiting on parts but this is how bae86 is coming along. Now Im not so sure when it'll be running but I'm itching to go do skids with the homies 8-) Got the front suspension together for the most part. The Front ae86 Godspeed sway bar fit really well so my guess is that the Rear Godspeed sway b...

Bit of an update, working lot so not much progress on missle hachi. A few pics and parts that came in, also updated my parts list in my third post on here. Going to relocate the battery so this is getting cleaned up a little and the sr5 coolant reservoir, will be using a gt-s reservoir. http://i1107...

Re: Silver Top pistons w/ 16v head? Any info?
Ah ok. Well know I know that the st pistons can be used, not recommended to use them though. To make any torque I'd have to do either a 7a w/ proper machine work or turbo the biotch.....w/ proper work. At least I have a better idea of what can and can't be used thanks to you guys. The motor will mos...

Longevity.
If I can get my 16v to make decent torque then I'd be ok with it also.

Ok.
Thanks guys. I have silver top pistons lying around and planned on having them as wicked cool paper weights.
I'll store them and have them on the side. Now I'm not sure what to do with them though lol.

Silver Top pistons w/ 16v head? Any info?
So I know this is a dumb question to most og guys here, and I've tried looking around for answers with no results, but I wont know unless I ask. Silver Top 20v pistons with a 16v head. Has anyone done this?/ made it work or is it even possible? I didn't think you can use 20v pistons with a 16v but I...

Re: Stock blue 16v 4ag with itbs? Anyone have any results?
Thanks yoshimitsuspeed. I know putting a proper 4ag setup costs more. I wanted to get cams and lots more goodies but I'm working with what I have already. I've read the other posts on how to build a proper 4ag but I haven't seen what people have listed or put together a stock 16v with standalone. I ...

Re: Stock blue 16v 4ag with itbs? Anyone have any results?
Setup I have in mind and a few parts that I have are as follow: - itbs ae101 - 100mm runners - 16v blue top head (clean it up slightly) - hks or new valve springs - 10.3 pistons (paird w/ a trd head gasket hopefully bring the compression up just a hair) - 7 rib block - T3 itb adapter (on its way) - ...
