Re: OST-050 - A VERY special build
FYI for painting small parts, spraymax 2k clear works great for sealing spray painted parts. Used it on the tank of my bike and spilled fuel doesn't touch it.

That it some kind of relocation kit. Best bet would be to pull the cap off and see if it has a part number.

My stock bigport starts at 80psi, goes up to about 100psi when the oil is cold and settles down to 80psi above 3k rpm and 30 or so at idle once warm. Thats with an actual pressure gauge and has been doing that the last 2 years.

I'd rather not seperate it out.
I can ship it to Canada, you'll need to pm me where it is going so I can get a quote.

I wish I had that kind of money. I asked around with some people I know and I think I will use Auburn Auto Machine. They were recommended by a few mechanics I know and they knew what they were talking about when I called them.

Machine shop olympia through kent
Ok, I have bearings, pistons, rods, a stripped block and am ready to look at machine work. I need the block bored, and decked, crank polished for oversize bearings, and balanced as well as a 3 angle valve job for a small port head. I searched the forum for recommended shops and everything I could fi...

Maybe the ecu is like the 16v 4ag ecu. Take the top off so that you can see where the connectors are attached to the board. The 4ag ecu has a label for all the pins there.

They might be regrinds. Best bet would be to check them for marks of who did it, if they are marked write or call the company and see what you can find.

Re: 6 speed adapter
OST is working on the shift relocation. But for the adapter between material cost, tooling, machine time, and finishing touches without a pilot extension it would be close to $1200 to break even. To add a stainless guide for the throw out and pilot extension would add probably 3-500 to that due to m...

Re: 20v bt 7age A/F ratios
I know ms can support vvt, i have my car running ms2 v3 that i built myself. But the pnp for a 4ag is for usdm 16v engines. The 93-95 mr2 pnp may work with the 20v, but there is very little about anyone using pnp for that. Check out the msextra forums, a majority use ms2/ms3 because it is simpler to...

Have fun. The MSPNP is going to need mods if you want to keep the vvt, and will not be just plug and play for a 20v.

Yes, 20v has injectors in manifold that are side feed. 16v they are in the head and top feed.

I never had a stock manifold. I bought my engine from an importer and it had a few toda parts on it including a rhd header. But it id's such a nice header and would need everything changed to fit so i couldnt bring myself to chop it up.

Re: 20V ITBs on 16V WITH NO ECU??
I've heard of it being done with a jdm map ecu. But it basically ran like crap being constantly rich. Lowest buck option is megasquirt if you want to get it running right. Best option is don't bother unless you are building the motor, other than in noise there are no gains.

Re: pacesetter
Thats the best out of the 3 merges. But i do agree that its not bad for the price. Once i get to headers on the one I'm fully rebuilding I'll build a custom header. But for a header that was going to be chopped up it was worth the price.

I know they are cheap, but this is how bad the merges are. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/320xq90/r/922/OVClXh.jpg I got one to modify when i first put the 4age into my spitfire, currently remodifying the exhaust and thought it would be a good time to show how bad the merges really are.

Parts are easy, seals can be gotten from a mazda dealer since the rx8 and miata used a variation of it. Clutch is on amazon, output is the same as a w58 box. Synchros shouldn't be an issue unless you are really beating on things.

Another plus for the aisin is that for a clutch i can get an exedy off of amazon in under a week. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001NYI2 ... UTF8&psc=1 this is what i have to put in, fits the splines properly and is 200mm diameter.

Re: 6 speed adapter
You can add the s15 6th gear for a little over $100 and have almost the same od ratio as the mfactory 5th for the t50. You end up with slightly better ratios, not much but slightly. And it is stronger than a t50, plus by machining my own adapter it'll be cheaper than rebuilding the t50 that won't go...
