I also have that block off valve for the heating system. I'm sure It's open but if I try to turn it it leaks. Not sure if that's the problem. It's old tech so most repair shops don't know what to do with it.

I gave the cooling system a quick flush last year. It helped a little but not that much.

I have no heat in my 86 sr5 I have no idea what's the issue. The heater valve under the hood is open so I should be getting heat pouring into the cab and I'm not. I have not changed the thermostat because I'm concerned the housing would Crack. Any other ideas?

Tank does definitely have a rust problem. But why would it be only going one direction. I'll check the fuel lines. Plus I've already been considering changing the fuel pump.

A 2nd in-line pump would not help. The problem is fuel pick up. You need baffles around the fuel pump pick-up. The GTS has a baffled tank to prevent this problem. No when the switch is in the high beam position nothing happens. What is supposed to happening when high beams are on on the switch. The little ball bearing thing fell out when I took the plastic piece covering the brass tabs off. What does that even do?
