I also have that block off valve for the heating system. I'm sure It's open but if I try to turn it it leaks. Not sure if that's the problem. It's old tech so most repair shops don't know what to do with it.

Re: No heat. ..
I gave the cooling system a quick flush last year. It helped a little but not that much.

Re: No heat. ..
Thank you I'll try that and get back to you. You can get vacuum bleed kits at an auto parts store fairly cheap right?

No heat. ..
I have no heat in my 86 sr5 I have no idea what's the issue. The heater valve under the hood is open so I should be getting heat pouring into the cab and I'm not. I have not changed the thermostat because I'm concerned the housing would Crack. Any other ideas?

Re: Fuel starve
Tank does definitely have a rust problem. But why would it be only going one direction. I'll check the fuel lines. Plus I've already been considering changing the fuel pump.

Re: Fuel starve
A 2nd in-line pump would not help. The problem is fuel pick up. You need baffles around the fuel pump pick-up. The GTS has a baffled tank to prevent this problem. An option is to put a lowered sump in the bottom of the current tank and extend the pump mounting bracket to pick up the fuel in the sum...

Fuel starve
I play with my sr5 at the local race track on drift practice nights. Basically an open parking lot with cones making a mock course. When turning right into a drift, car works fine. When turning left I get fuel starve pretty bad. A friend of mine suggested putting an inline pump in and wiring a switc...

4ac. Intermittent fuel issue
I don't know if I'm barking up the wrong tree here but here goes: 4ac engine, my engine will sputter and cough and stall, when look down into the carb the (when the problem is at its worst) it will be just vapour coming out. It usually goes away on its own and the car will run fine. I replaced the a...

Re: high beam low beam switch
No when the switch is in the high beam position nothing happens. What is supposed to happening when high beams are on on the switch. The little ball bearing thing fell out when I took the plastic piece covering the brass tabs off. What does that even do?

high beam low beam switch
Can anyone source me a turn signal switch/high beam switch. The one right in behind the steering wheel? I can't find one anywhere, and the one in my car isn't working properly and I can't seem to fix it.
