Re: CloudStrife's AE88

looking great man! I'm jealous of those rear brakes lol I can't commit to that brake kit yet until I figure out what rear axle I'm going to go with. Also, You can adjust the e-brake cable from the e-brake itself. It might give you enough slack to link it. You can always ask Gabe or one of the guys a...

Glad you are happy with the project thus far. It is looking great btw. I'd be interested to see what the dyno numbers are with a smaller SC pulley. Also, you can probably run a larger crank pulley to add even more boost like the 4agze guys do. Anyhow good luck with it all!

Forgot to add these pictures previously... https://s7.postimg.org/b6gnsqw7r/20171117_104518.jpg So this is how I modified the fuel rail. I have the return line hooked up to the front of the fuel rail with a fuel pressure regulator between the rail and the hard line. https://s7.postimg.org/6kkjkfkzb/...

Gonna have to swap or get that weir kit. Have you called weir? I talked to them a few months back and they said they can make them per order.

Re: CloudStrife's AE88

It's a folded sheet steel bracket and the holes will have been punched out. That's why you get a bit of a taper on th holes and the brackets can be less than perfect. Just file the holes out a fraction to get rid of the lip and slide that tube in there :-D Cheers... jondee86 That's basically what I...

Re: Aukword1's Beams Swapped AE86

The JSP mount kit does come with two options, one in a forward mounting position and one that mounts the engine towards the rear more. I went with the rear mounting position. In the rear mounting position with the sunframe spacers you do not need to modify the oil pan or the sway bar at all. Current...

Let me check when I get home, I'm looking at the Aisin CMC's and i'm thinking maybe it only had one stud possibly lol. I changed it out like 6 years ago so I don't really remember well. I will check in a few hours though.

Re: CloudStrife's AE88

That is odd, I never came across that issue. Do you have any slack in the spring when you jack up the front end? You should just be able to screw the base when the spring sits up or down to adjust the height. There is a set screw that holds it in place but it seems like your issue might be the sprin...

Very cool stuff, looks like you are having loads of fun. Did you come across any touge's where they lay down those rough patches in the road on the turns? I was in Osaka last year and we went to a popular touge between there and Nara and they ruined it with those. Autobach's is the ****!

Re: CloudStrife's AE88

Sorry to hear about that. I'd say the hub would've taken the bulk of the damage and if that functions correctly I wouldn't worry too much. I'd think the bearings would break before any damage would make its way to the strut or tower. Probably best to remove the hub and check the bearings and spindle...

Last update for a couple weeks. Got the Transmission bolted in. Really, the only hammering of the transmission tunnel I had to do was by the shifter. On the spot between the hand brake and the shifter, I had to hammer it up for the shifter to clear the tunnel. After that it was smooth sailing. https...
