Re: T50 Rebuild kit

I'm interested. Is there anything else needing to be added to finish off the rebuild at all other than the gaskets?

Re: JDM Hatch Redlines and other crap

What issues do the headers run into w/ a PS rack? My other car is full manual so I don't know what to expect with this one.

Re: WTB Aftermarket Header

Thanks for the info. The Group A seems more like what I want to have. Those high rise ones melt caps so I think I'll stay away from them unless I decide to fab up a better heatshield setup for my dizzy.

Re: WTB Aftermarket Header

I was thinking about them. Don't they merge differently though compared to Tomei/TRD though? That's what I've heard. I'm hoping to get some within the US quickly rather than wait for a long time. The sooner I replace my CXRacing ones the better.

WTB Aftermarket Header

Hey guys. I'm looking to replace my CXRacing headers and figured I'd ask to see what's available if anything. I'm hoping to get some TRD headers or something similar. Please PM or post here with what you have.

Re: Various Parts GTS/SR5

I've heard good and bad things about Pacesetters so it's no biggie, lol. Think I'll just have to roll OBX until I can save up for stuff to weld my own up. What about a cylinder head and engine block?

WTB Zenki Coupe Shell

Hey guys. I'm looking to replace my 86 that got wrecked. If anyone has a rolling shell anywhere near the Portland area for grabs, please let me know. Text me at (503) 816 - 7246. I want to transplant my 4Ag setup right into it. Also I'm not parting out the wrecked car if anyone is wondering. I'll be...

Re: 4AG 16v Throttle Unresponsive

I just re-sat it. But I still think the cams might be a tooth off. It revs up to about 4K now before it'll start to backfire like crazy. When I let off the throttle the car will just die but I think that's because I took out the idle up. I've got a coolant leak I need to fix and smoke coming from so...

Yeah. The belt just slid right in place when I installed it. I should say that I don't have the idle up in...

4AG 16v Throttle Unresponsive

I'm making progress on my car and have the tube for the AFM now. Used a silicone 2.5" to 2.75" to take care of that. I can get the car to start but it only runs when the pedal is floored. It chugs but the engine never goes above 800 or so RPM. I'm stuck as to what would cause this. I'm goi...

Re: putting a CD player in

I used a raptor harness adapter. You should need the 2 plug version of the toyota harness as input. Then use the booklet to see what wire is what and solder/crimp away.

Re: Necessary Relays

Yeah. I guess that's true. I think I'm just going to go with a 45 degree bend on the hose and just use a dry filter for reusability. It's going to be my daily so that should help reduce costs in the long run by a little bit.

Re: Necessary Relays

That's super expensive. I just need the short metal tube from the TB to the AFM. I think I've got it all sorted out though. Should be 2.5 to 3 inch with the bend.

Re: Necessary Relays

I got the AFM tube but it turns out the Intake end is too small and fits inside instead of outside it. But after plugging up the ground and shoving a wrench to open the flap up the car holds idle just fine! What are you guys running from your intakes to the AFM? I'd go with a standard hose if I coul...

Re: Necessary Relays

Get your AFM installed correctly, otherwise its not helping us help you. Lastly, make sure your AFM is grounded as well. Otherwise you will have the problem you described. I believe it grounds with a square-ish clear-yellowish connector down by the cross member bolts on the driver side. I've got a ...

Re: Necessary Relays

Yeah. I have it wired up with the connector but it isn't physically connected to the throttle body. I might just have to bite the bullet and put in the rusty idle up I have then. Would those be the only things keeping it from going off though? It just seems odd that all that needs to be in to get it...

Re: Necessary Relays

I haven't yet. I'll add that on my list of things to check when I get home. Do you mean the wire at the bottom of the coil? I thought the fuel pump didn't prime on ae86 cars. At least that is what I was told. Forgot to add that I don't have the idle up hooked up. The little green plug near the afm. ...

Necessary Relays

I've got a question about the relays on the car. Mine won't run and I'm trying to figure out why. I tried jumping the clutch safety switch at first and nothing happened when I turned the key. So I removed the starter relay and jumped the pins needed to turn the starter. The COR is clicking just fine...

I think that diagram is on there. Should help me figure this whole thing out. Thanks again man Could anyone take pictures of their yellow ECU connectors to show what pins are used? Re: Electrical Connections

Okay. That takes care of that question then. But is the relay supposed to click when the key is turned or is that just the starter solenoid. I'm going to finish up grounding the block and wiring up that starter bit to positive. I'll see what happens but if it's still not doing anything then back to ...

Re: Electrical Connections

The solenoid wire just plugs in to a connector that I've got which is fine. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out if my relay is good or not. Or if the wiring going to it is shot. Is it supposed to click when the key is turned to start? I thought that clicking sound always came from the solenoid on the...

Re: Electrical Connections

I think there's only one more thing to figure out before the engine finally starts. I've got this going to my starter. Solenoid wire is right there also. When I measured the voltage going through the solenoid connector as they key is turned to start the car, I get 0.01v when set to the 20v option on...

Re: gauge wire from harness to fuel pump

Going with a larger wire won't hurt anything. I'd say it's around 16-22 if I had to guess. I put in my pump assembly a bit ago so I don't quite remember but anything in there should be just fine for passing current through to the pump.

Re: Fuel Lines to -6 AN

I ended up reversing the metric to AN adapter. Just tightened it up and the leaks are nowhere to be found thankfully. There's still a bit of work to be done, but with that out of the way I just need to see why my starter isn't going off. I did the same with filing. Took a bit but it'll be worth it. ...

Fuel Lines to -6 AN

I ended up buying fuel lines from someone and didn't inspect them closely enough. It looks like he had twisted off the bit that connects it all to the fuel pump. So now I'm stuck trying to use fittings and get everything to gel using -6AN as the standard. Is there any simple way to do this? I used a...

That's the one. Should be a few up on eBay...or message the guy who just got his 86 totaled. If he still has it he might be able to grab it for you!
