Re: DIY Rust repair - Rear quarter/fender

Re: DIY Bash Bars/Bumper Bar
I think I had the wires connected incorrectly on the welder when I did the bumper bars. I was using flux core without any argon, but the leads were switched for using solid core and argon.

Re: DIY Rust repair - Rear quarter/fender
Thx for the comments. This is the first time I weld sheet metal/shape it. I was told by a guy advertising on CL as a welder with 30 years exp, that I should junk my car, that it would be impossible for me to fix, and that people charge thousands of dollars to do this type of repair on classic cars. ...

DIY Bash Bars/Bumper Bar
I was rear-ended by a minivan, and I'm too cheap to pay for anything I can do myself. I didn't write down any of my measurements, I can take the bumpers off and measure, but I would recommend measuring everything on your own car/bumpers to be sure fitment is tight. TOOLS (You will either need to buy...

Re: Rusty, Red, Rad... I love that movie
Whenever I hit the brakes there was a grinding/scratching a chalk board sound and it didnt seem safe to drive cause it took half a block to stop from 10MPH. Everything involved with the braking system in my little red hatch is completely rusted/leaking. I started my repairs with http://s20.postimg.o...

Rusty, Red, Rad... I love that movie
If you havent seen Rad you dont know nothing about nothing! I needed some wheels after relocating from the nyc to south FL, so I started searching craigslist. My first choice was a really clean '82 Starlet I found on CL - SOLD. Noooooooooooooo This caused me to enter into a deep depression, but I co...
