Brake Master leakage, a tale of woe
Hey all, for about 4-5 months I have had a very mysterious brake fluid leak. Sometimes i would lose a whole reservoir of fluid overnight and come out to squishy brakes from air getting in the lines. Other times i would not lose any fluid for over a month. I have never found any puddles of fluid or l...

if 3k hits your ocd zone dont drive an 86, miata, any motorcycle, or any two stroke; It all depends what the motor is designed for.

Are you getting fuel THROUGH your injectors? have you check to see that one or more of them are not stuck open or closed?

Re: Compression: What is acceptable?
We did retest compression after turning the thing over for a bit. The low cylinder came up into the 175-180ish range and the others stayed more or less the same. Billzilla: could you elaborate on "Sediment? No such thing, only dried/burnt oil that covers most things without direct flow or conta...

Re: Compression: What is acceptable?
Those compression numbers were on a cold motor. They put some oil in it (the engine not the cylinders) and ran it on this bench thing with an electric motor EDIT: with the throttles open and a belt around the crank pulley. When they were cranking the motor nothing sounded out of order inside it. I f...

Compression: What is acceptable?
Went to go look at a blacktop and externally looked ok. Pulled off the valve cover and looked fairly low mileage although looked like it had been sitting in the warehouse for a bit. Compression test number (1-2-3-4): 180-150-200-200 On a JDM 20v Blacktop do you think its just a head gasket failure o...

WTB: Blacktop MT ECU and Flywheel
Hello I am swapping a Blacktop into my AE86 and the only thing hanging up the project is a lack of flywheel and ECU. Need BT flywheel, and need any 5MT or 6MT BT ECU.
I am in the SF bay area, CA 94043
I am also possibly interested in a clutch with the flywheel depending on condition.

Re: Group buy on high quality header feeler
Just wanted to pop in and express my interest.
Spec Suggestions:
1) Ability to work with LHD cars with both types of racks and clear the floor (duh)
2) Flange holes for 20v and 16v bolt configs
3) 4-2-1 pipes if possible
4) price under 450
5) EGR bung (not a deal breaker)

Re: Looking to buy 20v Blacktop from REPUTABLE importer
Just called JDMhookup and they dont have any coming for months possibly. I am looking at a motor on Ebay from Naganousa but i have done some research and found very questionable results from them. I am wondering if with ebay buyer protection on my side it might be safe to try and get one from them. ...

Looking to buy 20v Blacktop from REPUTABLE importer
Hey guys my 16v in my zenki GTS coupe blew up after 290k miles so now its time to do the blacktop swap I've always wanted. I have been looking at different engine sellers all over the inter-webs and keep coming to the same issue that none of them have stalwart reputations for a) good motors, and b) ...

Need new wiring harness clips?
http://www.tweakdperformance.com/onlinestore/ This place is amazing for solving wiring problems. On 25+ year old cars these sensor connectors tend to get brittle and snap, I will be ordering a new TPS connector and a new ecu coolant sensor connector as mine have the locking tabs snapped off. I origi...
