Re: A broke college kid, and his broken rolla...

Well, it has been a while since my last update. All the panels are now seam sealed, but I still have to do some joints on the body of the car. I have a list of things I have to get done before its time to paint, hopefully I can get them all done pretty quickly. Oh yeah and I got a new job! hope you ...

The Hood is finally in high build. Now all of the panels are ready to be re mounted and the block sanding part can start! In this vid I remove vinyl wrap from the hood, strip the paint, fix some problem dents, sand smooth, coat in epoxy primer, and finally finish up with a couple coats of high build...

Been slacking with the updates here. If you all have been following this build, I am sure you will not find it surprising. If anyone has not seen already, I have posted 2 newer videos for this build. The first video covers more bodywork content, where I prep the doors and trunk lid for a couple laye...

DIY AE86 Tail Light Repair - How To Fix Cracks and Restore

In this video, I repair and restore my old stock tail lights for the AE86. The goal was to get them as close as I could to a set of JDM tails, given the difference in the physical lights. I also attempted to repair physical chips in the lens, with a 2 part epoxy and paint before restoring. The final...

I then fill minor panel imperfections with body filler and show how to properly sand those spots out smooth. I...

Nice write up! Is their any way you can take a pic of the rear bump stop area you mentioned? I am now leaning toward these. I wonder if I can get only the rears and go with t3 weld on front coils for the diy goodness lol. Hmmmm decisions, decisions....but great write up, thanks for posting!

Been toying around with the idea of going with coilovers, since I already have everything torn down. I was looking at T3's weld on option, since it would make for a good DIY option. These coils look great, i'll be curious to hear your thoughts on them after the install. Keep it up!

Wonder how to attach to a FRP bumper (no mounting tabs on the actual bumper itself) Hmmmmmmm....... you might be able to fab in your own mounting tabs with some fiberglass cloth, plastic and fiberglass resin.
