Good deep tone muffler

Ok guys. I am flat out too old to handle this RSR cat back anymore! I need something that sounds better. Something with a deep tone that won't kill preformance a whole lot. I am currently running the 7a 20v with headers no cat or res with a nice cat back by RSR. I just want to weld on a new muffler....

Just cant do it anymore!! RSR exhaust replacement

I'm too old for this **** LOL the RSR exhaust is too loud and I need something more quiet and sounds deeper. I have a 20v with headers no cat and a RSR cat back. I want to hack off the muffler and find a replacement. Can you guys suggest anything? I was thinking the Flowmaster DBX any feedback or an...

Re: 7age 20v Dyno numbers are in

Hey guys, based on the fuel table you can see it is running out of breath way sooner than it should. With ma 7A 20V with Kelford 194-B's, large header, and some porting I'm adding the most fuel at the higher RPM range. What is the exhaust set up? Hey I've shot you a couple emails but no response. I...

Re: 7age 20v Dyno numbers are in

So went to my tuner today to get a few things dialed in and he found a 1.6L 20v he tuned. its in the dotten lines and mine are solid. Very similar power dips

Re: 7age 20v Dyno numbers are in

You say you went over it but it sounds like you are just eyeballing it by the marks. If that is the case it won't tell you anything about where the cams actually are. I mean it should be obvious if it's a tooth off and you might notice if it was off by half a tooth but even that much could be hard ...

Anyone done a RAM air?

With my car dyno'ing 10 more hp with cold air blowing on the intake I was thinking of doing a Naca scoop and fabbing up some sort of a ram air. has anyone tried this before?

Re: 7age 20v Dyno numbers are in

Getting rid of the VVT doesn't really interest me a whole lot as power is quite a bit less without it. As for cam timing I find it really hard to believe it is off. I went over it 100 times with a few different people. But like you said maybe it doesnt like the stock marks. Not sure I am willing to ...

180 is high. No I have the recut crank gear and I am at TDC while the cams are lined up. I thought this might be the issues so I checked again.

Re: 7age 20v Dyno numbers are in

No vvt is working when not turning it on had about a 10HP loss thru out the band. 130. Is the tq. HP actually peaked at 131HP but dint have the curse on that spot. Either way seems a little off especially the tq dropping g off like it does

7age 20v Dyno numbers are in

The stock ECU was running super lean (dotted graph). So when switched to mega Squirt we got that all leveled out. I think I am still a little rich so some fine tuning is in order. Big differences in power when the car cooled off for 5 mins. 137-140hp during 5 min cool downs and 130hp pretty consiste...

incorrect sir, the 20v VVT is an on off system which megasquirts system supports. Plus its being Dyno tuned by a local tuner so I am not to too worried

Re: 20v bt 7age A/F ratios

The only significant thing I can think of about 6800 rpm, is that the BT ECU is said to switch VVT off at 6800 rpm. So it might be that the ECU also makes changes to the fuel and ignition timing at 6800 rpm... and (pure conjecture) these changes might induce knock.. and the ECU then cuts timing ? T...
