Re: Bump steer after aw11 manual rack conversion

I strongly urge people to find a true manual rack because of the bump steer we noticed with the AW11 racks when properly centering the rack. Your choices with the AW11 rack seem to be 1. Have too much angle turning left 2. Having equal steering angle but worse bump steer on oneside than the other. A...

Post pics if you can!

We pretty much don't let anyone order the fortunes from us without the bearings, they are that important.

Re: Fortune Auto Coilovers Review 2017

The radial bearings are highly recommended on AE86 applications. We noticed the steering effort and feedback is improved with the radial bearings as well.

Car looks amazing man, keep up the good work.

Re: Fortune Auto Coilovers Review 2017

8/6 can definitely work well if you live in an area with very smooth roads, or you spend most of your time at the track. Since FA was starting off in the Corolla application, they stuck with what was most popular. This doesn't have to just be a thread about FA though. I'd be happy to share my insigh...

I think that's part of the fun with Corollas though... that live axle will always be a handful and that's what makes these such driver's cars =D

Re: Fortune Auto Coilovers Review 2017

Just want to add that I'm glad to hear there are folks that are appreciating rubber / poly bushings on their AE86's. There's a time and place for heims but they can put a lot of wear and tear on these cars, not to mention create a lot of NVH. We generally will swap out heims for rubber bushes on car...

Hi Dan, would you mind letting me know what intake hose and airbox that is? I'm after something that doesn't look modified as well for my 16V street car. I was looking at JDM MAP intakes but they seem to be hard to find here.

Re: 4AGE 20V Adjustable cam timing with VVT

I have made my VVT pulley adjustable by slotting the hole in the VVT gear and flattening the dowel pin on one side. This gave me about 7 cam degrees to play with. The other issue is VVT adjustment is too much when using larger cams, would be neat to have a solution that limited total travel to about...

Hey guys, based on the fuel table you can see it is running out of breath way sooner than it should. With ma 7A 20V with Kelford 194-B's, large header, and some porting I'm adding the most fuel at the higher RPM range.

What is the exhaust set up?

Hey bud, FYI when we confirmed the perch had an issue Fortune was very fast to respond with a fix. We will be sending out out some spacers that you can use when you take the perches off next time, or use on your next car. This specifically fixes the issue you ran into! FYI best way to contact is via...

Hi Jason, not sure who you are in real life but we were just informed about this fitment issue on the OEM style fortune auto coils. If you purchased these from us, email me and we will send out a spacer that should fix the fitment issue with the perch!

Hey guys, Just wanted to quickly address this since a customer tipped me off. We have sold quite a few FA500 ae86 sets so far since this post in July and the feedback has been great. BEAMS has different cylinder spacing. You could use the filter element with a blank backing plate (which we can supply) but we don't provide any finished backing plates for BEAMS yet.

Yes, it will come with the fasteners needed. Quick release of the filter element consists of proper race class DZUS 1/4 turn twist and lock fastener. We don't skimp.

Hi Vasha, Unfortunately many shops don't know how difficult the OEM 20V and late 4AGE CAS are to work with so I would onyl take it to a shop that has done it before. I've heard some horror stories of people spending 3K at a shop and still not having a running car. Battle Garage will be coming out wi...
