Re: Rear Sun Shade

You would also have to check the shade length to make sure you have a little extra slack for hooking the top in place.

If I new the price was going to go up I would have bought a few extras for future projects.

Re: Rear Sun Shade

It seems the price went back to retail pricing. They must of had a huge overstocked supply and had to move them out for a short while. But there are other vehicles that use similar shades and sizes. But it seems the awesome $10 deal may be gone. [emoji16]

Re: Child Seat LATCH System

Is there an existing bolt hole in the C-pillar or did you have to make your own?

Really clean looking rear seats by the way!

Re: My DD Lovin K24

The K24 Levin was pulled out of mothballs and loaded on a trailer to be dropped off at JSP where it will get a custom tri-y header and exhaust plus sort out the wiring to get it running again. I'm very excited that I'm coming to the end of this project and will have it on the road again. Here are a ...

Re: My DD Lovin K24

I used the stock GTS fuel line for the f22 so they should work for the k24 as well. I have an aftermarket fuel pump but I'm most likely going to upgrade the pump, not sure what I'll use at the moment. Do you have a build thread up? Not many K86 build threads so it would be nice to see another. Looki...

Re: Corolla/Corsa Electric Power Steering Column

I have this fitted to my ae86, using a quaife kick rack with it. I've a dial for adjusting the amount of assistance. I've done 2 track days and I turned the assistance to minimal, worked great. I'm in Ireland and as mentioned it's popular with the rally guys here. Actually most of them use it with ...

Re: Rear Sun Shade

It's been a while since I checked this DIY and I'm really happy to see so many people using it. :D Is there any way someone could measure the width of the sun shade for me? I don't really like the look of tinted cars but my passengers in my FR-S are getting roasted in the heat, I want to see if this...

Re: My DD Lovin K24

It's been sometime since I posted an update so I decided to share the most current progress with my Ae86. The K24 mounts have been made and the engine is now bolted in the Levin's engine bay. Next is hooking everything back up and making small adjustments for fitment of hoses and lines. But it looks...

WTB manual rack brackets

I want to buy a set of manual rack brackets. I have the bushing kit for a power to manual rack conversion but I'm having clearance issues with my new engine swap and need the smaller brackets. Anyone have a set for sale?
Thanks in advance.

The oil pan is painted and installed. You can see the f22 in the background with the JSP engine mounts cut off and templets on the k24 to make mounting plates for the brackets to be weld to.  http://i742.photobucket.com/albums/xx68/superdougy/null_zpscd7125b5.jpg Everything is on the engine and read...

Re: My DD Lovin K24

We put it on a flatbed tow truck then drove the Levin in to the Penske truck. On the way down we drove trough rain and a little snow. It was nice driving the truck in bad weather rather than the Levin. Plus when we stopped for the night everything was locked up. We used about four heavy duty tow gra...

Re: My DD Lovin K24

I haven't had any problems but with all the work that's been done to my Levin it spends most of its time sitting in a shop. Someone did a similar mod with a Yaris electric power steering unit. This is more ideal for us in the States since it would be cheaper and more available. I was going to contac...

Re: Corolla/Corsa Electric Power Steering Column

The motor kicks in when the steering is turned and shuts off when it stops. When you hit full lock the motor will stop assisting until you start to turn the wheel again so there is no need to adjust it. My only concern is how it will handle the constant turning on a track. The Corsa electric column ...

Re: Child Seat LATCH System

It makes installing and removing a car seat a lot faster. Plus I can get a really snug fit with the LATCH system where as the seatbelt would leave the car seat a little loose. I'm really happy with it. Now all I need are ear plugs and Dramamine so the kids will enjoy the ride.

It's really nice. The power steering makes the horse power more manageable and makes the Levin funner to drive on a daily basis.

Re: Corolla/Corsa Electric Power Steering Column

It's really nice. The dial is set for some assist when I'm driving around town but if I need to park I turn it all the way up and long drives on the highway I shut it off completely. Once my new engine is in I would like to test it at a track to see how it feels.
