Front Subframe question
Is there any difference in the SR5 subframes and the GTS subframes. I have both but the GTS one is in my running car. If they are the same I was going to clean up and paint the SR5 one to be used.

Re: Tail lamp fuse keeps blowing
I unhooked the connectors at the tail lamps and installed a new fuse. The fuse still blew. So its not in the tail lamps. Its somewhere else. I think it might be in the switch itself but I'm not sure. The wire diagram that I found doesn't show Zenki cars. I've read that they are wired differently. I'...

Tail lamp fuse keeps blowing
I have a short to ground somewhere on the dash side of my tail lamp fuse. I'm guessing its either my head lamp switch of the power wire for my cluster lights is shorted. Anyone have a diagram on this circuit or some advice on where too look?

Sounds like the brake fluid is bypassing the master cylinder. I would start there.

Re: Anyone running the Exedy stage 2 clutch?
I wouldn't recommend a puck clutch for street use. It has that annoying shutter every time you take off. If its a solid disk it will be fine. Another thing to stay away from is unsprung clutches for street use. But to each his own. If you do decide to get the stage 2 let us know what you think. This...

Okay my IAC valve is bad. I guess I'll just block it off and manually idle it. I'm not paying over $100 for a new IAC valve.

Re: K24a2 AE86
The k20a is a tall motor. The k20a2 is even taller. With the k20a you have to trim the hood supports to be able to close the hood. the k24a2 will stick through the hood. If thats what you are into the cool. But I would rather be able to keep a secret about what's really under the hood. I've been kic...

Idle wayyyy to high
It has done this ever sense I've owned the car which is about 3 months. On a cold start up it will idle around 2500 rpm. Then it will go down to 1500 rpm when operating temp is reached. If I turn the idle screw down to where it idles at 1000rpm it will go dead at stop lights. I have no vacuum leaks ...

Does anyone have a picture of the cluster mounted in the AE86 dash?

I put my to the test today. Dead stop 4k rpm and clutch drop. It left a number 11. I couldn't be happier. This is the best / funnest method to use.

Rear end options
I remember from the old site that you can make a jig set-up and fab a supra rear end for the AE86 but, I also remember reading about using a truck rear end in the AE86 too. My question is what model truck I was thinking it was the old Toyota hardbodys But, I don't think they came with read disk brak...

ditto
Because it makes changing the oil filter so much easier. And it also moves it away from the heat of the exhaust header.

That looks really good gumby_z13. How does the new vinyl hold up? And what did you use to glue it?
